NayStation Owners' News For October 2011
Aloha,
Ah, September…what a Month it has been. Wait, where was summer? Did we miss something?
Already getting cooler at night up here, and the rain has been just short of Camelot (by 8am the morning
dew must disappear). The Ipu continues to flower and produce gourds.
John has added some pictures of one of the finished gourd he made to the website.
Sorry that the menu is so late this month, Myrna has injured her neck (C7 disc to be exact) and John has
been doing the heavy work for both. Ahh – the joys of getting older. Trying to get Myrna to lie down and
do nothing is a challenge in it’s self. She is slowly getting better though, thankfully.
We have another addition to the NayStation, Ric & Mike have given us a Panasonic 60” HDTV. They
have obtained a new TV and thought of us when this one had to go to make room. Now all John has to
do is find time to rearrange once more. Myrna has already devised a plan to accomplish this. Our son
Simon is making/adding other improvements to make it even more functional.
We have also had access to an aerial map book of Ka’u (1 in 1000 scale) dated 1978. Some of the
photos are as old as 1972. Some of you had the opportunity to peruse it at a recent dinner club night.
John is working to digitize it and reproduce copies. We’ll see how it goes.
The first week of October we will be closed for a private party. We are privileged to host a wedding
rehearsal dinner. Best wishes to Daneille and Craig!
